Description

The Pan-American Conference of 1938 gathered the nations of the Western Hemisphere in Lima, Peru, at a moment of global crisis. With the rise of fascism in Europe and militarism in Asia, the states of the Americas debated how to safeguard their region, preserve neutrality, and promote economic and political cooperation. In this simulation, delegates will represent 30 countries and observers from across the hemisphere and beyond. They will draft resolutions on collective security, trade, and hemispheric solidarity, balancing U.S. influence with Latin American independence.
